This project is our first and most challenging project! When we were at the Children's Home, the principle of the school pulled us aside, and told us about the need for a school bus to transport disabled children to school. She explained that there was a waiting list in Kumasi for children with special needs, waiting to go to school. This waiting list has hundreds of children eagerly waiting to be accepted into a nearby school. The Children's home would take a handful of these kids, if they could transport them to school. We have started raising money to buy a school bus that seats 33 children. This has been an ongoing project, and it it difficult to find a bus to buy that will run properly and wont break down. We are hoping to buy the bus over the summer, so the children can be enrolled in school before the next term begins.
