We are in Kumasi and working in the Children's Home! We had fun in the daycare centre, then we went to the girls house to be with the three disabled girls and the young babies. The youngest baby is less than a week old, she is so small I think she might be only two pounds. She must be premature, so tomorrow we are going to bring her some formula we have from the U.S. that should help her. The daycare center is CRAZY! There are about twenty kids that are left alone with just me and Dani, and there is always a few kids screaming or crying. I changed almost 20 diapers and fed two babies. Here are some photos :)

  1. I found this through the facebook page and I gotta ask, I have been to the Kumasi Children's Home to volunteer 2 separate times and I was wondering how Theresa is doing and if there are still 2 disabled girls there name Gifty and Afia. I loved my time there and spent almost the entire time in the Girls House with Auntie Esther.

  2. Hi Lisa! It's nice to hear from you. We spend some time with the three girls too. Theresa is doing as good as you can expect. There is no progress with any of them. We changed their diapers many many times! We spend a lot of time in the girls home with the babies, because there are eight of them right now! Theresa, Gift, and Afua all seem reasonably healthy besides being underweight.
